Who we are
This website is run by JDF Joinery, a joinery business based in Steeton, Keighley, West Yorkshire BD20 6NU. If you have any questions about your information, email Jdfjoinery23@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote or contact us, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode or town, and information about the job, including any photos you send.
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. The site remembers the language you pick on your own device, and that never leaves it.
Why we use it
We only use your details to reply to you, give you a quote, arrange visits and carry out the work you ask for. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then carrying out that contract.
We never sell your details or use them for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, which hosts this website and passes quote form messages to our email.
- Google, which provides our email (Gmail) and, only if you click "Show the map", the map on our contact page.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there.
Some of these companies may store data outside the UK. When they do, they use the legal safeguards the UK requires.
How long we keep it
If you don't go ahead with a quote, we delete your details within 12 months. If we do work for you, we keep your details and job records for up to 6 years, because HMRC requires us to keep business records.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Just email us and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
